As much as I love esoteric pop culture reference I think I should explain this one. Firstly: I really like Kurt Cobain. I like Nirvana’s music, but more like: I like Kurt Cobain, or the layered idea I have of him. At one point in time Nirvana was going to be featured in Rolling Stones. One the day of the photoshoot Kurt wore a shirt with handwritten: “Corporate Magazine’s Still Suck’ on it. They shot it and even though they went through some wardrobe changes, they still publish the cover shot with that T-shirt. I haven’t read rolling Stone in a while, nor did I read it when that particular issue came out. When I was growing up my brother used to get the magazine and it would pile up against the sink in our bathroom, absorbing moisture and causing the pages of Limp Bizkit or Moby to curl into one another. It was good then, I haven’t read it in a while, but I think it may still be a quality publication. I do support all magazines, but I also like being sassy sometimes.
